Hello! I'm Crystal Xiong!

My practice explores emotional needs, interpersonal relationships, and contemporary cultural experiences through metaphorical and humorous visual narratives. Rooted in everyday observation, my work reflects an interest in vulnerability, intimacy, escapism, and social pressure within contemporary society.

I enjoy drawing on paper using mixed media, including coloured pencils, watercolours, markers, and acrylics. Working across painting, mixed media, and publication design, I am particularly interested in the relationship between narrative and the reading experience.
